From Nepal to Montserrat: Building a better world, one community at a time
From Nepal to Montserrat, Article 25 is shaping places that expand access to healthcare, education and resilient social infrastructure - projects designed to serve communities for generations.
Recently, two of our architects travelled to Kenya to advance our work on a series of new healthcare facilities. More news on this project coming soon.
In the meantime, here’s a look at what’s currently taking shape.
Anandaban, Nepal: Resilient design in challenging terrain
Our work at Anandaban Hospital has faced one of the toughest challenges yet. After severe storms and landslides disrupted the original site in September 2024, the client has secured a new plot, and we are redesigning the Mycobacterial Research Laboratory to fit.
Despite the setbacks, the hospital Trauma Centre remains a hub of vital care, with outpatient services, operating theatres and wards continuing to support patients safely.

Laos: Planning for long-term impact
In Laos, Article 25 has begun designing a new healthcare building for Khammouane Hospital as part of a wider site Masterplan.
Associate Architect Branca Pegado is currently there on the ground, working with the client, LuxDev, to set the blueprint for future phases. Once complete, this project could evolve into a long-term, multi-phase development, strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the site.

Montserrat: New National Hospital takes shape
Construction is accelerating at Montserrat’s National Hospital. With our Site Architect Mark Webb overseeing the process, foundations are complete despite flood and subsidence challenges, with ground floor slabs, columns and the structural frame well underway. A tower crane is on site, and the team is scaling up to maintain momentum.

Kao La Amani, Tanzania: Expanding educational facilities
In Tanzania, construction is about to begin on a new dining block, library and WCs for Kao La Amani’s Primary School. Site Architect Paulina-Shari Stanley is on hand to move forward the next phases swiftly.
The project builds on last year’s completion of the Children’s Village, recently featured in Designboom, extending the learning and wellbeing facilities for the community.

From healthcare to education, from disaster-prone mountains to tropical islands, Article 25 is combining resilient design, local knowledge and global expertise to deliver buildings that matter.
Each project reflects a commitment to communities, codesigning and shaping infrastructure that protects, empowers and endures.
