RED Group joins More Than a Building as a Gold Member

Who is RED Group?

Founded in 2016, RED Group is a specialist main contractor leading a new way for the industry. Through an ambitious yet controlled growth strategy, RED is established across multiple regions and sectors, employing a team of over 250 people with decades of collective expertise between them.

RED is synonymous with effective delivery across new build and refurbishment projects in the UK, and is the contractor of choice across the residential, commercial and hotel markets. The team approaches every project with honesty and integrity, relishing the opportunity to deliver places and spaces with beneficial, long-lasting influence.

Sustainability sits at the heart of RED's operations. Through its RED to Green strategy, delivered by a dedicated in-house Sustainability Team and BREEAM-accredited Site AP champions, RED tackles carbon reduction, circularity, and social value on every project, aligning with UK Net Zero 2050 targets. The business is on track to hit Net Zero for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030, has diverted 99.3% of non-hazardous waste from landfill since 2024, and pursues recognised certifications such as BREEAM, NABERS and WELL on over 90% of its projects. RED also embeds social value into every scheme, from structured work experience placements and Employment and Skills Plans to partnerships with local SMEs - and its teams have raised over £200,000 for charitable causes since 2022.

RED is creating a new benchmark and facilitating a positive legacy in the built environment by working alongside like-minded clients.

Why did you join More Than a Building?

Graham Sturge, CEO at RED Group, said:

At RED, we've always believed a construction company's legacy should be measured by more than the buildings it delivers. Joining More Than a Building gives us a platform to channel our RED to Green commitment to social value into real, tangible change through Article 25's work.

We're proud to stand alongside other forward-thinking contractors, sharing what we've learned about embedding sustainability and community impact into every project, while contributing to something that genuinely changes lives beyond our own sites.”
