Message from Chief Executive, Gemma Holding:
I am delighted to introduce Article 25’s Impact Report 2025-26, celebrating another year of buildings that don’t just get delivered, but last.
Our climate-resilient schools, clinics and homes across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and beyond now serve over 640,000 people every year, reflecting the quality of what we build and the trust communities place in us.
That trust comes from how we work. As our Chair, Denise Bennetts, says, it is the power of the collective, with architects, engineers, contractors and communities working as one, that makes our approach distinctive. We design not just for today’s problem, but for the community the building will serve in twenty years’ time.
It’s possibility, built.
This year we won the AIA Award Citation for Environmental Stewardship, recognising the Kao La Amani Children’s Village in Tanzania. It is our fifth major industry award in the last three years alone, building on 20 years of delivering climate-resilient buildings that last. We also spoke at COP30, delivered talks with UNEP and GlobalABC, and served as charity partner for the World Architecture Festival for the second year running.
We were proud to welcome Scott Brookes as our new Director of Projects, whose expertise and technical capabilities will help us take on more complex commissions. Thank you to our More Than a Building community for your partnership, your generosity, and for believing that what we build together genuinely changes lives.

Khammouane, Laos: A century-old hospital campus, reimagined. The masterplan was completed in March 2026, and phase 1 construction is expected to start at the end of 2026.
Lele, Nepal: The Vivek Memorial Research Centre, a laboratory for world-leading leprosy research. Construction is expected to start in early 2027.
Boma Ng'ombe, Tanzania: Kao La Amani Primary School and Preschool, built off-grid with volcanic stone from Kilimanjaro, giving 340 children a safe, sustainable place to learn. New construction is due for completion by April 2027.
Buildings that keep giving
Every project is measured by what it enables afterwards: care that endures, skills that stay in-country, and buildings designed for the conditions they face.
World-class expertise, doubling your impact
For every £1 donated, we secure an additional £1 of pro bono professional expertise, effectively doubling the value of every gift.
Leading engineers and design specialists give their time pro bono, so more of every project budget goes into bricks, equipment and training rather than fees, and the building budget stretches further without compromising quality. The report also includes a transparent breakdown of our income and expenditure
Together, we're building possibility for communities worldwide
