Kodzo studied in the United States and Ghana.  He has Ghanaian and also Burkinabe nationality (since 1989).

He graduated with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Architecture from K.N.U.S.T.  in 1979 he did a one-year National Service as Project Architect with the Resettlement Division of the V.R.A. at Akosombo, Ghana.  He was recruited by a Consulting Firm A.A.E.D. in 1980, in the then Haute Volta.  He was with this firm till 1982.

He started his professional career as a Project Architect in Ouagadougou, achieving a substantial number of successes in architectural competitions.  In the 1980’s architecture was done by hand, including Constructed Perspectives for 3-D.  He trained many Draughtsmen in these skills.

From 1983 to 1988, he was a partner with Dutch and a Burkinabe Architects in a new Architectural and Urbanism Consultancy B.E.A.U.  He was in-charge of all conception, and despite fierce competition, most usually achieved awards.

Kodzo continued from 1989 as Head of Architectural Department of CINCAT International, and from 2000 to 2011 as a partner of Architects-Urbanists Associated (A.U.A.). Since 2012, has been an Individual Consultant (presently Technical Team GK - T.T.G.K.), specialized in supporting conception and in-charge of Site Control and Supervision.

Kodzo has worked on projects financed or sponsored by the United States, Germany, Japan, France, etc., with work experience especially in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and Guinea (Conakry). 

He started his collaboration with Article 25 after 2012 for the Bethel School at Gourcy, Burkina Faso.

He is specialized in both contemporary construction and implementation with local bio-climatic building materials and methods.
