Article 25 is a humanitarian architecture charity dedicated to building adequate dignified shelter as defined by the UN. We design and build homes, schools and hospitals in poverty stricken areas. Innovation enables us to use local materials to improve conditions and withstand natural disasters. We pride our work on training and hiring local women and men. We are looking for a Grant Writer to help us fundraise and broaden our reach.

Seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grant Writer. This person will conduct prospect research, assemble, write and submit grant proposals and maintain a calendar of submissions and deadlines. We are looking for someone self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, thorough and timely.

  • Research grant-giving organizations and prioritise opportunities with the highest probability of success for our organisation

  • Write and submit grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations persuasively communicating Article 25’s mission and programs to potential funders

  • Measure success rate and income generated

Candidate requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field

  • 2+ years grant writing experience

  • Exceptional written and communication skills

  • Proficient in measuring and reaching income goals

  • Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel

  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources

  • Displays honest, integrity and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions


Article 25 has more than 88 projects in 34 countries, making us the most far reaching architectural NGO in the world. Our projects are delivered with in-country partners to ensure that local knowledge and relationships are maximised, and that projects are sustainable.

This position is available for full time candidates for a minimum commitment of 6 months.
