Celine Vincente.png

Celine holds a Masters degree in architecture from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. After finishing her studies she joined the research project ‘Heartchitecture: Emergency Architecture’ at the same University, followed by an invitation to work in a Portuguese office where she had the opportunity to work in both housing projects and low-cost projects for charity institutions.

Celine has a strong interest in the knowledge of traditional techniques and materials and its application on contemporary buildings, the contemporaneity as an evolution of the past and not as a rupture. She believes that traditional techniques and its knowledge is a potent skill to choose the better option and to include the community. For her, architecture is a powerful tool to improve lives and it is the architect’s obligation to contribute to increase this with dignity, beauty and inspiration. At Article 25, Celine is currently working on a school in construction in Haiti.
