Anna Schulenburg
Senior Architect

Anna joined Article 25 to head the projects team. She has wide-ranging international experience in project design and delivery with expertise in sustainable design and construction, developed with local communities and local knowledge. Anna is interested in the transformative potential of good design with equitable and sustainable processes and with learning across projects, locations and skills. She holds an MSc in Building and Urban Design in Development from The Bartlett Development Planning Unit and an MA in Architecture from Technische Universität Berlin, both with distinction. In her previous positions with architecture practices, her own practice and through voluntary work she has lead teams in education, heritage and commercial projects in Burkina Faso, South Africa, the UK, US, Germany and Hungary. Anna’s research experience focuses on urban informality, informal settlement upgrading and social innovation in low-income housing solutions, with fieldwork in Thailand and Cambodia. She has taught at Nottingham University and The Bartlett Development Planning Unit.
