Nearly one in four Haitians still living in camps after last year’s earthquake is being threatened with eviction by dissatisfied landowners.  According to Reuters, 166000 camp residents face homelessness during the approaching rainy season or are being forced to return to live in unsafe housing.  Evictions rates are outpacing the ability of the government and aid agencies to provide new housing.
