Article 25 regularly collaborates with academic institutions and individuals, from secondary school workshops to PhD supervision and designing university modules.

In every case we do our best to generate engaging topics and programs which are mutually beneficial, complementing both academic priorities and our work in the field.

Some of our collaborations to date include:

  • London Metropolitan University: DipArch - six week lecture series and two week design workshop, designing rapidly deployed warehousing in post-disaster scenarios.
  • University of Sheffield: live project, School of Architecture, supervised by Professor Jeremy Till - product development using urine as a binding agent for mud brick manufacture in areas where water is scarce (IDP camps, Sudan). Click here to see the project blog and download the full report.
  • Birmingham City UniversityBArch - biomimicry in designs for Article 25′s Gola Forest Project, Sierra Leone. Initiated by the Article 25 Student Chapter at the university.
  • SOAS, University of London: MSc thesis – counter urbanisation and rural regeneration strategies. Click here to read the report.
  • Queen’s University, Belfast: PhD supervision – housing solutions in the developing world.
