Article 25 is working with Foster + Partners, Buro Happold and Save the Children to develop a new sustainable Prototype Rural School to be constructed in eastern Sierra Leone. The construction will be allied with a strong educational programme, providing opportunities to develop local resources and skills relevant to the needs of the Sierra Leone. The project aims to improve current school design standards by making school buildings more child-friendly, such as better climatic control, and layouts which allow teachers to move around the classroom giving individual tuition.
