BEAR is a call to ALL built environment professionals to contribute time, skills, and expertise for humanitarian and development architecture projects. The BEAR database is a resource maintained by Article 25 for the benefit of all (local or international) charities and NGOs in need of building-related professional services.
The BEAR database will be used to contact volunteer architects, engineers, surveyors and project managers (and other relevant professionals) for post-disaster rebuilding and development.
Candidates may be called on, through BEAR alerts, for specific assignments such as needs assessments, site and building analyses, architectural design, engineering, construction, and collaboration with local communities.
Please note that students and young professionals with limited experience will more likely be considered for office-based volunteer positions in the UK; overseas placements require experience and ability for independent project management and construction oversight. We recommend supplementing your skills with training and our Humanitarian Info Packlists as many as we are aware of in the sector that may help you. Thank you for your interest and committment.
We reserve the right to refuse membership to BEAR and would, if refusing, of course return your donation.
Your Passion. Our Script.
What is Image Verification ( Captcha )?
A security test to determine whether or not the user is human. This will ensure that only human visitors will actually submit the form, and not spamming bots that are browsing the web from site to site and submit spam where they can. It is well known that programmers can do programs for many jobs, including visiting a large amount of sites on the Internet by following links from page to page and collect emails listed on websites, submit contact forms, or even trying to break passwords by trying to login over and over again with computer generated passwords.
Fortunately, it is impossible for a non-human ( ex. computer program ) to extract a word or a combination of letters and numbers from an image, if the letters and numbers are not all of the same size and of similar font. This is why, the Image Verification security method ensures that only people actually can submit a form.
