Robin CrossActing CEO and Director of Projects

Alongside his role directing Article 25’s projects, Robin has been CEO since June 2010. He leads a highly motivated team of talented designers, built environment professionals and educators who commit their skills and energy to Article 25′s expanding programme of international development and disaster relief.

Robin has led design and construction teams in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas, through both community-based and contractor-based projects.  As a former elected councillor for one of the most diverse and multicultural communities in London, Robin has extensive experience using inclusive building projects to engage a marginalised community in determining the future of their neighbourhood. As Chair of the Design Panel of the London Borough of Lewisham, and as adviser to the New Cross Gate Trust community regeneration group, Robin has used these professional skills to tackle the challenge of regenerating underdeveloped areas of London.

Ralph Buschow – Programme Manager

Ralph has worked in an advisory capacity for Article 25 since 2010 providing strategic support for projects in Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and Northern Uganda.  He is currently involved in the launch of significant new programmes of work in Afghanistan and Haiti which will benefit from his strong professional experience.

Ralph was a founding principle of Buschow Henley Architects where for 15 years he was heavily involved in master-planning, housing, education and regeneration projects in both the UK and abroad – several of which received national and international awards.  He continues to develop his interests in regeneration, the re-use of historic buildings, and education buildings through several projects at Article 25.

He speaks four languages, continues to work on four continents, and has extensive teaching experience including the London School of Business, the Architectural Association, several UK universities and the Fachhochschule in Salzburg, Austria.

Alexander Llado – Field Engineer

Alex has a background in structural engineering and a masters degree in international development from the University of Manchester. He started working for Article 25 in June 2011 as site representative on the construction of the Patongo Vocational and Training Centre in northern Uganda, where he is currently based. In Patongo he enjoys the local cuisine and running at sunset. He previously worked for a leading international consultancy for over six years and was involved in the design of major building projects with high architectural content. He has extensive experience of site supervision and contract administration.
