Article 25 offers the built environment and design industry a series of CPD registered courses, seminars and workshops for all those interested in development and disaster relief. Through Article 25's direct experience as built environment professionals working within the humanitarian and development sector, we have been able to develop a series of registered CPD courses tailored to built environment professionals. Our one day 'Essentials' CPD, run quarterly has been developed to provide an overview of the topics and issues relating to the built environment within humanitarian development. To find out when our next course is please visit our Training Calendar. We also offer lunch time talks at London based offices from a range of our registered CPD seminars. On top of this, we also organise one off workshops and events, often to help assist with a specific project or piece of research. And for our volunteers and project workers we of course provide in-house training, including CPD registered briefings in Hostile Environments and First Aid.
COURSE AFFILIATES:Have you always been considering a career specialising in humanitarian architectural practice? Article 25 can recommend the following MA degree course offered by London Metropolitan University. The course combines academic and hands on practical experience. The MA Architecture of Rapid Change and Scarce Resources is run by the Department of Architecture and Spatial Design at London Metropolitan University and is intended for those wanting to work in designing and building in situations of rapid change and scarce resources. The course includes a full size modelling / making exercise at the Centre for Alternative Energy, Wales. Design work is based on research carried out during a two week field trip in a transitional context. Recent field trips have been to Kosovo, Gujarat and the JJ squatter camps in Delhi. |
